Domaine de Montcalmes

LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON

A Rising Star of the Terrasses du Larzac

In recent years, Domaine de Montcalmès has established itself as one of the true rising stars of the Languedoc, perfectly illustrating Jeb Dunnuck’s description of the region’s crus as “diamonds in the rough.” Once sold in bulk, these grapes are now featured in three-star Michelin restaurants across France and sought after by wine lovers worldwide.

The 22-hectare estate stretches across the communes of Puéchabon, Aniane, Saint-Jean-de-Fos, and Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian, just 30 km northwest of Montpellier. Led by Frédéric Pourtalié and his sister Muriel, the domaine produces around 50,000 bottles annually, crafting elegant and expressive wines under the Terrasses du Larzac (red) and Coteaux du Languedoc (white) appellations.
